Heylen Warehouses voltooit transactie met BTS Logistic

Herentals, 30 oktober 2023 - Heylen Warehouses, een toonaangevende langetermijn-investeerder in “state of the art” logistiek en industrieel vastgoed, is verheugd de succesvolle ondertekening van een significante transactie met BTS Logistics aan te kondigen. BTS Logistics gaat ca. 24.000 m2 magazijnruimte huren op de grootschalige logistieke en industriële nieuwbouwontwikkeling "South Holland Inland Port Puttershoek" (SHIPP) in de gemeente Hoeksche Waard, tussen Dordrecht en Rotterdam.

BTS Logistics heeft een uitstekende staat van dienst in het bieden van oplossingen aan hun klanten voor transport- en logistieke behoeften. Hun beslissing om magazijnruimte te leasen op SHIPP 21 weerspiegelt het strategische belang van deze locatie in hun activiteiten.

"De opslagruimte zal worden gebruikt voor zonne-logistiek en fulfilment-activiteiten," zegt Michael de Rouw, CEO van BTS Logistics. "Dit is een uitbreiding van onze huidige opslagactiviteiten, wat neerkomt op 86.000 m2 nadat Puttershoek is opgeleverd. We zullen de nieuw te bouwen binnenvaartterminal gebruiken voor het merendeel van onze inkomende en uitgaande containers in overeenstemming met ons milieubeleid."

Heylen Warehouses is toegewijd aan duurzaamheid en diversiteit in haar ontwikkelingen. Het Puttershoek-campus is ontworpen als een groene campus, waarbij milieuvriendelijke kenmerken en praktijken zijn geïntegreerd om de ecologische voetafdruk te minimaliseren. Zo zal de constructie volledig gasvrij zijn en het project ligt op schema om een BREEAM Very Good-certificering te ontvangen. Bovendien zullen het dak bedekt zijn met zonnepanelen en groene gevels het gebouw naadloos laten opgaan in de omgeving, waardoor het een nog milieuvriendelijker ontwerp krijgt.

Verder legt Heylen Warehouses veel nadruk op mobiliteit en zorgt voor een veilige en gemakkelijke toegang voor zowel huurders als de lokale gemeenschap. Daarom is een nieuwe toegangsweg aangelegd die de N217 verbindt met de SHIPP 21-campus, en momenteel wordt een fietstunnel gebouwd om een veilige route voor fietsers te bieden.

Herentals, 30 October 2023 - Heylen Warehouses, a leading long-term investor in state-of-the-art logistics and light-industrial real estate, is pleased to announce the successful signing of a significant transaction with BTS Logistics. Under this agreement, BTS Logistics will lease 24,000 square meters of warehouse space at the large-scale logistics and industrial site “South Holland Inland Port Puttershoek” (SHIPP) in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard, between Dordrecht and Rotterdam.

BTS Logistic boasts a track record of excellence in providing its customers with solutions to their transportation and logistics needs. Their decision to lease warehouse space at SHIPP 21 reflects the strategic importance of this location in their operations.

“The warehouse will be used for solar logistics and fulfilment activities”, says Michael de Rouw, CEO of BTS Logistics. “This is an expansion of our current warehousing activities which totals to 86.000 m2 after Puttershoek is delivered. We will use the new to be built barge terminal for the majority of our inbound and outbound containers in accordance with our environmental company policy.”

Heylen Warehouses is committed to sustainability and diversity in its developments. The Puttershoek campus is designed to be a green campus, incorporating environmentally-friendly features and practices to minimize its ecological footprint. For example, the construction will be entirely gas-free, and the project is on track to receive a BREEAM Very Good certification. Furthermore, Heylen Warehouses places great emphasis on mobility and ensuring a safe and convenient access for both tenants and the local community. That is why a new access road has been constructed connecting the N217 to the SHIPP 21 campus, and a bicycle tunnel is currently being built to provide a safe route for cyclists.
